Study Format and Workload

The MSc in Management by distance learning can be studied on a flexible basis at a pace to suit you. The course can be completed in a minimum period of 24 months up to a maximum of 60 months. You will study the core subject areas and then choose two elective modules from a wide range of subjects covering all the main areas of interest in management. You will finish the final part of your MSc Management by completing the Dissertation (15,000 words).

Students are required to demonstrate satisfactory progress on their programme of study. A series of milestones are built into all of the programmes and students need to work to these milestones in order to be considered to have met the minimum level of satisfactorily progress.

1 Students need to have completed at least one credit bearing module and one non credit bearing module within 12 months of registration.
2 Students need to have completed at least one non credit bearing and 3 credit bearing modules within 24 months of registration.
3 Students need to have completed at least one non credit bearing and 4 credit bearing modules within 36 months of registration.
4 Students need to have completed at least one non credit bearing and 7 credit bearing modules within 48 months of registration.
Assessment

The programme is assessed by a mixture of continuous assessment and examination. Candidates will complete a piece of assessed work for each of the modules.
